A Bavarian village full of charm
Full of Bavarian charm, Leavenworth village is architecturally stunning. As you walk the streets, you can hear various languages all around you: Russian, German, French. With approximately 1900 people, the town is located 3 hours east of Olympia at the base of a ski mountain and the start of the Okanagan Valley, which runs north into British Columbia.

Over 2 million visitors per year come to experience the unique magic of this town. Nestled in a narrow valley at 1100 foot elevation, the valley is full of fruit trees, wine country, and agriculture. In May, the temperature was a sunny, warm at 68 degrees. The Nutcracker Museum, which opened in 1995 and contains more than 5,000 nutcrackers from years ago to present. Every fall, Leavenworth hosts an annual Oktoberfest Celebration.

Summer Theatre Performances

Leavenworth Summer Theatre runs during the summer months June thru September. Enjoy live performances under the stars! Icicle Creek Center for the Arts offers programs for music and theatre and performances year round.
